Sivan Design was just awarded a new contract with UNRA – Uganda National Roads Authority – for the development of a GIS based right of way management information system. The new system will assist UNRA to enhance planning, preparation, implementation and monitoring of the RAP – Resettlement action plan processes.
The aims of GIS base ROW-MIS are:
- To support RAP preparation, land acquisition, registration and land administration, query, complaints management, monitoring and evaluation.
- To create a computerized database of the ROW information to increase efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery at UNRA.
- To have readily available up to date and authentic land information for decision making both at design and RAP implementation stages.
The project will be funded by the world bank and it’s for a duration of 30 months.
